  • What is a Personal Life Coach?
A Personal Life Coach is an individual who is trained and certified to assist, inspire, and challenge clients to reach their desired outcomes. They act as an attentive listener and catalysts for actions that support achieving goals. Coaches also aid in identifying and overcoming obstacles, recognizing personal strengths and areas for improvement, and promoting rapid progress toward a more fulfilling existence.
  • Is Personal Life Coaching effective?
Life coaching is an effective method of personal development that helps individuals clarify their goals, identify obstacles, and develop strategies to achieve them in a more efficient and timely manner. A coach acts as a sounding board, providing guidance and support to help clients navigate their personal and professional lives with the ultimate goal of achieving greater happiness and fulfillment.
  • Isn't seeking coaching or therapy an admission of weakness? Won't it make me look bad to others?
Seeking coaching or therapy is not a sign of weakness. In fact, it takes strength and courage to acknowledge that you want to improve yourself and seek help to achieve your goals. It's important to recognize that everyone faces challenges and could benefit from support at some point in their lives. Seeking coaching or therapy is a proactive step toward personal growth and development, and it can help you overcome obstacles, improve your relationships, and achieve your full potential. It's important to prioritize your own well-being and not let the opinions of others hold you back from seeking the help you need.
  • What are the benefits of Personal Life Coaching?
The benefits of Life Coaching are having someone that is solely dedicated to helping you and the achievement of your goals. They are non-judgemental, supportive, encouraging, and motivating just when you need them. They keep you focused on where you want to be and moving forward in the right direction. They will enable you to get to where you want to be in life much faster than you could on your own.
  • Who can seek help?
Anyone can! Anyone who wants to change parts of their lives, so they are happier and looking to stay focused and get to their desired goal or outcome quicker can seek help.
  • What happens during a coaching session?
During a coaching session, a coach will help you identify the current problems and the hindrances that do not let you achieve the desired outcome. Help you create a process to tread your way towards the targeted results.
  • How long are the coaching sessions?
Coaching sessions take approximately 45 minutes to one hour. These sessions can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, whatever suits your life and the speed at which you can take action to achieve your goals.
  • How many Coaching sessions will I need?
This depends on what you want to achieve with your coaching. Most people come to a Personal Coach with a life-changing goal in mind. In order to achieve this, we look at smaller goals that need to be achieved in each session to move you closer to your overall goal. For some people, this may take as little as 6 sessions; for others it will be more. It is a very personal decision based on your individual goal.
  • Where does the coaching take place?
Sessions will be conducted online via zoom calls.
  • How much does it cost?
The cost of coaching at The Placid Minds is comparable to that of other health professionals. The initial consultation is offered at no charge, allowing clients to understand the coaching process and determine their next steps.
  • What will I have to do?
To get the best Coaching, you need to have a positive attitude toward achieving your goal. You need to be totally open, trusting, and honest within the coaching relationship. The coach will help you throughout the process by providing boundless motivation, support, and encouragement within a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
  • What is the difference between coaching and therapy, and which one would be more suitable for me?
Coaching is a collaborative process between a Coach and a Client, in which the Coach empowers the Client to identify and overcome obstacles to achieve their desired life goals. Coaching typically focuses on the present and future. On the other hand, therapy involves a therapeutic relationship between a client and a mental health professional that delves into past experiences and belief systems to uncover and address deeper issues and provide insights and solutions to current problems.
